Christmas meal for rescued animals

On a dark and cloudy night, a dog ran into a drum to seek shelter from the rain. Little did she know that the container was used to store tar; she got stuck in the thick black liquid and couldn’t wiggle herself free.

Her cries alerted some construction workers in the vicinity, and they informed our partner Blue Cross of India. The team found the dog curled up and stuck inside the drum. They tried to pry her loose but didn’t succeed, so she was brought to our hospital in Guindy.

She was fed water using a syringe because she was dehydrated and given some food to eat, after which the lengthy process of removing the tar from her body began. She was first covered with plantain leaves and the drum was cut open. Using coconut oil, each of her limbs was freed and she was given a warm bath with medicated shampoo to get the rest off.

Over the next ten days, the same process of oiling and bathing continued, before she was finally ready to be released. When she was dropped off, she seemed thrilled to be back in her surroundings!

Animal rescue from capsized ship - We keep on fighting. The past few days we have been constantly reporting about the ship tragedy in Romania, but the mission is not over yet. Many of you are wondering what is going to happen to the surviving sheep currently receiving medical care on a farm. We are working at full speed to give the sheep a chance to live, so please understand that we can't say more at the moment. Together with other NGOs, our team of ARCA | Letea Wild Horses will attend a demonstration in Romania tomorrow, so that an accident like this can not happen anymore. We'll keep you updated!

As the winter closes in, wildlife rescues across the country are becoming inundated with hedgehogs that are too small to survive hibernation. Luckily, many rescues here in the UK are able to help each other out if the load becomes a bit too much! With several rescue centres close to closing their doors due to patient numbers, we put out a call late last week to see if we could help. Our friends at South Essex Wildlife Rescue soon got in touch and we agreed to admit 40 of their growing intake. These hedgehogs came in all shapes and sizes, but we will care for them over the winter before their release in the spring!

Abby lived out in the desert for over two years. Loreta Frankonyte, JoAnn Wiltz and I headed out to this mobile home park - about 2.5 hours east of Los Angeles.

We were told by the woman who fed her that during this whole time, she wasn't able to ever get close enough to touch Abby.

I am very lucky to have such an amazing team with me, and Abby is really lucky that Hope For Paws was called for this mission.

Extremely matted homeless dog wouldn't let anyone touch her for over two years!!!

Please share this video with your family and friends this holiday. If you would like to adopt Abby, please contact our friends at Smooch Pooch Rescue:

Volunteer with the Animal Rescue Team

One of the most commonly asked questions for our Animal Rescue Team is, “How can I volunteer?” Our team has—and relies on—a strong network of volunteers to help us make a real difference for animals in rescue and disaster relief work. We truly depend on them to help us get this important, lifesaving work done.

One of the most common mistakes prospective volunteers make is waiting until a natural or man-made disaster strikes to begin the application process and to begin proper training and preparation for becoming an Animal Rescue Team volunteer. Unfortunately, by then, it’s too late. If you want to volunteer, it’s important to apply before a disaster. If you get everything done early, you, like our many other volunteers, will be ready to deploy when animals need our help.

I can’t speak enough to the impact people feel from saving animals in need. If you want to make a difference, this is a way to do it. I encourage you to start your application today. With hurricane season on the horizon, our team will be ready to deploy at a moment’s notice - The Humane Society of the United States

On The Rampage w/ Don Lichterman tells how the GOP, Trump and this regime / admin must use a campaign platform filled with Deflection, Lying, Dieceiving while catering to the low educational voter...Trump's campaigns also seem to need help from foreign countries like Russia in 2016 and now Ukraine in 2020...

Let alone my past relationships and being detained and more things about my life...
