The Sustainable Action Network's (SAN) Rescue Network is a well rounded group of organizations that cover all corners of the earth and both land and air while dealing with all types of rescues for animals and wildlife.

YUMMY...CAT MEAT

We know how concerned you and so many other LFT readers have been about the 300 cats rescued from a meat truck headed to slaughter in China.

These cats were in dire shape, desperate for food, medical treatment and loving care.

The rescued cats crushed together on the meat truck

We’re happy to share that most of the cats have survived and are even thriving!

Thank you for helping save these precious lives. Safe at the Ping An A Fu sanctuary in Nanjing, these cats now know the warmth of loving arms, and will get the care they need for the rest of their lives.

With the support of caring readers like you, Lady Freethinker has provided more than 2 tons of high-quality cat food to feed these cats, as well as the other cat and dog meat trade survivors and strays at the shelter.

Still, our work is far from over. Rescuers are watching for slow-appearing illnesses as these cats were trapped in crushingly tight cages without food or water for far too long. They endured trauma and pain that pose invisible threats and could lead to sudden death.

Lady Freethinker is continuing to help rescuers by providing food for these cats and other animals saved from the slaughterhouses and streets of China.

Please support these efforts, as well as our fight to end the cat and dog meat trade and fight animal cruelty around the world?

352 Dogs Rescued From Life In A Cage...

You may have heard about a recent hoarding case out of Tampa, FL that included 352 small breed dogs who were rescued from horrible conditions at a local grooming facility. The Hillsborough Animal Center has been providing housing and veterinary care for these poor dogs for more than a month now. The next step in readying them for adoption is spaying and neutering all 352 of them, a monumental task for any team - except AB USA!

Caring for 350 dogs in addition to the hundreds of animals already living at the shelter is exhausting and the staff at the shelter need our help. Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center recently contacted us to see if our Animal Balance USA team could help. We began planning immediately and are happy to report that we will be providing a team of veterinary experts who can spay/neuter these dogs in just a few short days of MASH style spay/neuter clinics. Animal Balance has assembled an expert team of volunteer veterinarians and technicians from around the country who will be on the ground providing life saving services for these 352 dogs in less than two weeks!

We'll be posting updates as soon as we arrive in Tampa, so stay tuned for more information! If you are interested in adopting one of these wonderful dogs, please visit the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center website for more information. Currently, all adoption fees for every single other animal at the shelter have been waived to help make room for these guys!

This week, the ASPCA has remained on the ground in Northern California at the request of Sonoma County Animal Services, assisting in search-and-rescue requests, welfare checks and ongoing care needed for animals impacted by the deadly wildfires. So far, we've helped support the assistance of 1,500 animals.

But our work still isn't done.

We are currently monitoring the status of the wildfires, and working tirelessly to make sure any rescued, displaced or suffering animals are getting the help and care they need in the wake of this natural disaster. Your support is still desperately needed to make sure we can reach those who need us most.

As we continue to be vigilant about the needs and safety of animals in the surrounding area, we hope that we can continue to count on you to help us be there for them in dire, urgent times such as these. Please make a lifesaving gift today, to help all of our efforts to rescue, protect and care for animals across the country when they need us to be there for them.

Like you, we consider our beloved animal companions part of the family. Like you, we would never willingly leave our animal companions behind in a disaster. But, sometimes, such as in the case of earthquakes or fires, it's impossible to predict where and when they'll occur. That's when being prepared can make the critical difference. Let us help keep your family safe when disaster strikes.

We want to extend our efforts and help you prepare for an emergency by providing you with a free emergency window decal that may just make the critical difference to save your animal companions' lives!

In Defense of Animals has been involved in countless disaster relief efforts across the United States. In August of 2017, Hurricane Harvey swept through Texas quickly destroying the land and the lives of those who call the area home. In Defense of Animals' Hope Animal Sanctuary in Mississippi quickly joined forces with other local groups to rescue animals from drowning and transport them to safety.

Our disaster relief fund has allowed us for decades to come to the aid of suffering animals in the wake of a disaster. We now want to extend our efforts and help you prepare for an emergency by providing you with a free emergency window decal that just might save your animal companions' lives!

The 'Please save my animals!' decal is best placed just inside the door or in a front window of your home or apartment to inform first responders of all the innocent lives who may be trapped inside in an emergency.

And you may claim up to 5 window decals to give to your friends and family. Our mission is to make sure all animal companions are rescued from the path of a disaster.

Part of animal guardianship is being prepared for a disaster, and we want to help you get started. Let us send you a free 'Please save my animals!' window decal today!

Whether it's a fire, a tornado, or a hurricane in the Deep South, In Defense of Animals' dedicated Hope Animal Sanctuary staff and volunteers are committed to putting boots on the ground in a disaster-torn area to save as many lives as possible. We are prepared at the drop of a dime to step in and provide care and support for animals who are left behind in a disaster's destructive path.

We look forward to being part of your disaster preparedness plan by sending you an emergency window decal. Claim your free, life-saving decal now to help your beloved animal companions stay safe during a disaster.
